Help our Foster Youth
At the age of 14, Makel, a foster youth, was getting
into trouble with the law. He hardly knew
his father and his single mother simply gave up on him. With no other options except the children’s
shelter, Makel made the decision to live at Unity Care’s home for boys, which turned
his life around. Watch Makel's moving speech from our YouthLive 2013 gala.
Unity Care invites you to support our 2014 YouthLive gala. Together we can help thousands of foster youth that enter our doors each year. The reality is, without our housing, mental health and community-based services, foster children are less likely to graduate from high school, are at higher risk of being homeless, unemployed or incarcerated within two years of exiting foster care.
